Consonants

A consonant is a speech sound spoken with an a partial or complete stop of airflow. Consonants are less intense and more constricted, they can be voiced or unvoiced.

There are three distinctive features of consonants:

  1. Place of articulation
  2. Manner of articulation
  3. Voicing
